Milanówek – a Coherent Patchwork of Public Spaces
The natural landscape of Milanówek has the features of the oak-hornbean forest, hence the species typical of this community became the basis for the creation of species selection for shrubs and perennials and newly designed trees.

Due to the existing underground infrastructure, only the use of so-called rainforests. In general terms, the proposed ecological dehydration of the roadway, i.e. rainforests, consists in the construction of filters with sand-gravel deposit overgrown with hydrophyte vegetation, which can be used for deepening rainwater sewage treatment - both for removing fine suspensions, as well as petroleum and biogenic compounds, and heavy metals. That is the phytoremediation method, which uses the metabolic properties of higher plants and the bioremediation of biogenic compounds and petroleum contaminants by microorganisms and plants. As a result of these processes an ecosystem of mutual interactions is created, in which the plants create favorable conditions for the development of bacterial microflora, and as a result of the inflow of petroleum products, microorganisms capable of breaking them develop.

With regard to the problem of street noise reduction, the selection of species rebate assumes plants reaching 50-150 cm in height, which may contribute to the partial soundproofing of the space by breaking the sound waves. As in the case of a rainy garden, the use of hedges along the streets is in many cases impossible due to the existing underground infrastructure.
